BRASA luncheons are held bi-monthly in the Corpus Christi area to encourage women in their walk with Christ.
Projects in the United States
DEKONING MINISTRIES sponsors many projects in south Texas to serve the local church and meet the needs in the community. Here are some of the ways we were engaged in south Texas in 2023:
- “1 + 1 = One” Marriage Seminars
- Six BRASA Luncheons
- Built 10 hygiene kits for refugee families moving to Denver
- Provided 1,600 lbs of Peanut Butter for the Coastal Bend Food Bank
- New Food Pantry in Flour Bluff to serve hungry children
- Assisted in the purchase and distribution of 34 bikes as Christmas presents to the underprivileged

Projects in Suriname
DEKONING MINISTRIES continues to expand the sustainability projects and gospel outreach in Suriname. Here are a few highlights from the mission trip this year:
- Hosted a Marriage Seminar with 115 in attendance
- Handed out more than 700 food packages
- Expanded Chicken Coop which produced 7,000 eggs this year
- Conducted three kids clubs, two leadership trainings, and a kids camp
- Visited the thriving Hadassah Bakery established last year
- Held Gospel outreach to indigenous tribes, the Redidoti and the Brokopondo people.
Projects in Ghana
DEKONING MINISTRIES partners with local missionaries in Ghana to support Gospel outreach and humanitarian efforts. Here are a few highlights from 2023:
- Drilling and mechanization of new clean water well
- Provided resources for final year of college for two young Christians
- Provided resources for supplies for churches and family support for local Christian workers
- Helped conduct Vacation Bible School for more than 15,000 kids
- Provided resources for three life-saving surgeries
- Helped support Global Leadership Summit at Shama
Projects in Kenya
DEKONING MINISTRIES partners with local ministry, Total Tribe Transformation, in Kenya. We work with them to provide resources for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ among the tribal peoples of Kenya as well as humanitarian relief in times of hardship or drought. Here are some highlights from 2023:
- Provided resources for 2,000 digital media cards with sermons, digital copies of the Bible, and the Jesus Film
- Provided resources to help feed more than 60,000 people during a drought
